Today, we went to a concert Wal-Mart was sponsering and it was quite rad.
I had floor seats, oh yeah. \:D/
Let me tell you about it though. You know how Wal-Mart had originially came-to-be in Springdale? Well, Wal-Mart holds this free, sponsered concert every year. And different artists come to play. The thing that amazes me, is the fact that they took the time to fly in groups of people from different countries. Yesterday, they had China, Japan, and Brazil there.
And today they had Germany and two other countries. I wasn't sure. ANYWAYS..
One Republic played about 2-3 songs. But I vaguely remember the tracklist.
I know they played "Apologize", as well as, "Stop and Stare"
I think one of the songs they played was a new song coming out. I don't know.
They were pretty nice. I was actually impressed with the vocalist. He wasn't one of those rock vocalists who scream and growl all the damn time. And he had broken.. something, but I couldn't heard him. People were screaming loudly. So he was on crutches.
However.. All-American Rejects cracked me up.
Dude, it was hilarious. I swear, the vocalist was on something.
He kept rampaging around was just a total mess. Hmm, what'd they play..
I know they played "Move Along", "My Paper Heart", "It Ends Tonight", and "Dirty Little Secret"
I think the other song was a new song from their new album? Or was it single?
I didn't pay attention. But we were the first audience to hear it live. :D
Dude, seriously. I was worried that right-hand guitarist was going to swing around and hit something. He was running and head-banging EVERYWHERE.
Man, that vocalist was hilarious though. He kept repeating sayings such as, "How are you doing, you sexy people?!" "Man, ya'll are looking hot!"
But at least they were the only band who actually intereacted with the audience.. sort of.
But yeah, after they finished he said something about a "Sweet Sultry Sex House" or whatever and totally ran off stage. We could vaguely make out what he was saying. But it was funny anyways. Oh, I totally skipped out a really funny part. He noticed that we had a sign language translator person thingy and was like, "Hey, can you tell them if they can feel my bass? You know, the vibrations under their seat? -Plays low notes on bass-"
I don't know, it was really funny. They were hilarious. You had to be there.
And I swear, EVERYONE was just waiting for Journey to come out.
Oh, man, I was excited. But dang son.. their set up took FOREVER. @_@
I swear, we could've went and stalked the other two bands leaving. Haha.
But we didn't. :P
And once they did come out. EVERYONE rushed to their feet and began screaming like maniacs.
But my group of friends started making of their name a little. Haha, doing it the "Asian" way.
"OH JUH-NEE! JUH-NEE! JUH-NEE? Eh?! IT JOHNNY?! OKAY! JOHNNY! JOHNNY! JOHNNY!"
Haha. <3
It was amazing being able to see them live. The crowd adored them greatly. Their new vocalsit-- Arnel Pineda was just as great as their older vocalist.
They played... a bunch load of songs. You don't even know. I lost track. As much as I love Journey, I couldn't remember half the titles of the songs they played. I only remember them playing "Don't Stop Believing", "After All These Years", "Seperate Ways", "Anyway You Want It", "Wheel in the Sky", and "Lights"
They played a bunch more, but I don't know. It was really hard to hear Arnel sing for some od reason. I think the crowd was really excited. You could see many parents and middle-aged singles dancing and lip-synching along. I remember Arnel went down in front of the floor seaters and shook some peoples hands. I was sad. T.T
I was a little farther back. What we thought was sweet was when he took the hand of a little Hispanis girl and led her up on stage while singing. It was so cute! But she didn't look so happy about it. It was really awkward when they had ended. I know they were going to have an encore. I mean, come on. You HAVE to have an encore. I really felt like shouting, "ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE!" But I decided not to. Haha. :P
The weird thing was, people thought they were already done even before they played their last two or three songs and began to leave. We were like. O.o, How disrespectful. Some people started leaving right when they were performing. But luckily, they DID come out with an encore. :DDD
We were literally yelling and jumping up and down. Gosh, I was so short. It wasn't even funny.
I couldn't see over the tall white guy who was rocking out to Journey playing. ;_;
I was about to stand on my chair but security would have dragged me out.
But the most funniest thing was when the bassist made this really scary face. Omg, it was so... dude. Omg. LOL. I can't describe it. My sister TOTALLY missed it and it was RIGHT on the screen. Amy, Monica, and I were cracking up so hard. I mean, SO HARD. The elderly people thought we were crazy.
Yeah, but it was great. My first concert too. :3
I suck at these fan accounts//reviews. :]
Then we went to eat at Taco Bell and we went to Wal-Mart. O_o
